Woman, Infants, Children (WIC) program
WIC is a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, new mothers or fathers, and young children eat well, learn about nutrition, and stay healthy. Nutrition education and counseling, nutritious foods, and help accessing health care are provided to low-income women, infants, and children through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program, popularly known as WIC. VN Teamwork is proud to provide service to those who need assistance in applying for the WIC program.
Food Benefits:
- Dairy products (eggs, milk, dry milk, evaporated milk, cheese)
- Beans & Peanut Butter
- Whole Grains (bread, tortillas, oatmeal)
- Brown Rice (no white rice)
- Cereals
- Juice (plastic bottle and frozen concentrate)
- Canned tunas
- Fresh fruit and vegetables (also frozen)
Eligibility:
- Pregnant woman
- Woman who are breastfeeding under 1 year of age
- Woman who have had a baby in last 6 months
- Parents, step-parents, guardians, and foster parents of infants and children under age of 5 years (includes fathers)

Provide:
- Texas I.D.
- Social Security Card
- Citizenship (Passport or Birth Certificate) or Green Card
- Proof of income (2 consecutive pay check stubs within 60 days)
- Most recent income tax
- Food Stamps, Medicaid or CHIP card (if necessary)
- Immunization records
